The Teacher's Role Before, During and After a Learning Game

Teachers play an important role at every stage of a learning game, from choosing the lesson goal to supporting participation and planning follow up activities. With Eduzo, teachers can select suitable activities, organise turns and review recorded responses through learning reports. The Teacher's Role Before, During and After a Learning Game

The Teacher's Role Before, During and After a Learning Game

Eduzo handles the game experience, configured turn-taking and reporting of recorded responses. The teacher connects those tools with the lesson: choosing the goal, supporting participation and deciding what comes next.

That role can stay simple. Think of it as three moments around the activity.

Before: Choose the purpose and prepare

Select an available lesson linked to what the class is learning. Decide whether the session is for exploration, shared practice, revision or an individual check.

Choose the participation mode and playing time. Use automatic roll call for a planned sequence or manual selection for a specific turn. Preview the response method and confirm that it suits the children taking part.

Most sessions can begin with ready-to-use content. Add custom questions when they serve a particular teaching need.

During: Support the learning experience

Explain the routine and demonstrate the interaction if it is new. Let Eduzo manage the configured sequence while you help children participate comfortably.

During practice, discussion and feedback can support learning. During individual assessment, allow independent responses and keep peer hints for afterwards.

If a child seems confused by the controls or instructions, resolve that before drawing conclusions about the concept. You do not need to document every pause or movement.

Give seated children a simple role, such as thinking through the question silently. Use occasional discussion when it fits the purpose of the session.

After: Use the report to choose one action

Open the report and look for the clearest learning need. Decide whether the next step is a class recap, focused practice or a suitable extension.

Assign relevant activities where useful, including home practice when available. Later sessions provide further opportunities to review how performance develops.

The report brings recorded results together. The teacher contributes knowledge of the child and the lesson when deciding how to respond.

Build a repeatable habit

Prepare a clear goal, support participation and act on the report. This routine can work around a short revision activity or a longer assessment period.

As children become familiar with the process, the practical setup becomes easier to repeat and the focus stays on the learning.

Keep learning. Keep moving.

Try the teacher journey for yourself. Arrange a guided Eduzo session covering lesson selection, play and report-led follow-up.

Bloom's Taxonomy in Primary Classrooms: From Recall to Reasoning

Bloom’s Taxonomy helps teachers design learning activities that go beyond remembering facts. By exploring a concept through recall, understanding, application, analysis, evaluation and creation, teachers can give children different opportunities to demonstrate their thinking. With Eduzo, teachers can connect these learning goals to interactive activities and review recorded performance to guide follow up practice. The key is to choose tasks that match the intended learning outcome and encourage deeper understanding.
